After living in Sidney for nearly 30 years I thought it was time to have a direct part in the future of our town. I grew up here, work here, and think this is an amazing place to live.

I'm currently a member of Sidney's Advisory Planning Commission, a volunteer with Friends of Sidney Parks, as well as a volunteer with Capital Bike. Speaking with current Councillors in Sidney and other municipalities, and attending many Sidney Council meetings, has given me a firm understanding of what is expected of Councillors.

When something important is on the agenda I have spoken up, whether it's active transportation infrastructure, preventing public transit in Sidney from being redirected to the airport, supporting local businesses and events, or advocating for an Extreme Weather Response Shelter for our most vulnerable residents. Sidney also needs to be a more affordable place for families and workers to live, and for seniors on fixed income to afford to stay in the community they love.

I will lead with compassion and empathy to create an accessible, livable, vibrant community.
